The designers and their many helpers continued the decorating of the house for many hours.  Everything needed to be placed in just the right spot.  The front steps and sidewalk were poured as well as placing the paver stones on top.  Some other finishing inside the house also needed to be completed before the family came home.  The family arrived in the stretch limo and got out behind the bus so they could not see the new home.  After the famous words “Move That Bus!” were chanted, the bus rolled out and the family collapsed at the site of their new home.  The best part of the entire project was knowing that the entire family would be living together under one roof.  The happiness and excitement is really unexplainable.  We thank each and every person that worked on this home with us.  Without you and everyone that donated supplies, materials, and their time, none of this would have been possible.

Hardwood flooring was continued from Wednesday night through early Thursday morning.  Punch out was started (finishes) in late morning and took most of the afternoon to complete.  The cleaning crew then came in and did a great job of making the home sparkle.  Exterior brick was completed as well as the landscaping of the back yard.  When the word came from the production crew, we started moving in the new furniture for the home.  The designers then entered to start the long task of decorating each room.  This will take a lot of time as there is many things that need to be brought in to make this house a home.  The family will arrive home tomorrow, and we can’t wait!

The majority of today was spent framing the new home for this special family!  Hundreds of workers came together in this amazing feat and put this huge home together in record time.  It went together like a huge puzzle, each piece having it’s own place, all of which are important to finish this beautiful home.  Rough in of electrical, heating and a/c, and plumbing were started in the basement, and then moved up as each floor was completed.

What an amazing start to an even more amazing project!  The day was started with the demolition of the current home.  With the use of huge equipment, it came down to the ground in a hurry!  After the site was cleared, the digging of the basement for the new home began.  Foundation footings were dug and concrete was poured for both the home and the new garage. Followed up by the pouring of concrete for the foundation walls for both. Plumbing ground works were layed in the basement, followed by the pouring of the garage floor and basement floor.  Lots of work has been completed, with even more to go!  Let’s Do It!!
